Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for an Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. You will be responsible for designing automated test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and project teams to deliver stable, high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.

● Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.

● Analyze requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios and automation suites.

● Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.

● Perform API testing and validate backend services.

● Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

● Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks.

● Work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.

● Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.

● Perform exploratory and manual testing where required.

● Monitor test results and investigate failures.

● Help establish QA standards, processes, and best practices across projects.

Requirements:

● 1–3+ years of experience in software testing/QA automation.

● Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.

● Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar.

● Strong programming knowledge in at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

● Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.

● Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and API validation.

● Experience with Git and version control.

● Understanding of SQL and database testing.

● Familiarity with" CI/CD tools and practices.

● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

● Good communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have:

● Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

● Experience with cloud testing platforms.

● Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments.

● Experience with performance or load testing.

● Experience testing mobile applications.

● Familiarity with Jira or other issue-tracking/project-management tools.

● Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
